Neal had a 3 day/2 night winter camp this week. Canada has "reading week" in the month of February where the kids have 5 days off so they can "read". I still don't get it. Anyway, last year at this time we were taking Laurel to Utah to start her mission, FYI.

| This picture is so funny to me. They just don't look like they are having any fun or is it just me? |

| Neal on the other hand always has fun. The machete he is holding is from Nicaragua when we picked up Brad from his mission 5 years ago. Neal was just a little pipsqueak. |

| Mission accomplished! |

Do you see Neal? those are his legs. He is ice-fishing. I've been ice-fishing. Years and years and years ago in Drayton Valley up in northern Alberta when we were first married we had a ward activity where we went ice-fishing. It was alright I guess. Neal loved this camp. He bought some crazy pants and gloves and borrowed a -40 sleeping bag so he was pretty comfortable sleeping on pine boughs. He wants to go next weekend with his dad..........we'll see how that plays out. |

Wow! A 5 day break for reading??? I'd love for us to do something like that in the states. How fun! Neat pictures of Neal. He sure isn't a pipsqueak anymore! Pretty soon he'll be going on his mission...Laurel will be coming home, and soon she'll be snatched up by some RM. What a wonderful family you have!
Neal+Outdoors=Fun!!
Neal looks like he is having a great time! That poor tree met it's match in Neal and the machette!
Fun pictures and fun post!
I bet Neal was the only boy who took cool pictures of the camp. I have to say I have no desire to go camping in the winter. I am glad they had fun.
